I recently bought my Mini JCW from this garage and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, everything was handled in a really professional and friendly way.James was brilliant throughout — really easy to deal with, honest, and never pushy at all. He took the time to answer all my questions to the detail and made the whole process feel relaxed and straightforward, which made a big difference.The car itself was exactly as described and in great condition when I picked it up. You can tell James rake pride in what he does and makes sure everything is right before handing the keys over.What stood out most was how smooth everything was. Buying a car can sometimes be stressful, but this felt easy and well organised from beginning to end. I cannot recommend Painswick Car Sales enough. After spending several months locally trying to find my next car, I travelled the extra distance and luckily found exactly what I was looking for at this garage. Even more surprisingly, I met James, the owner of the garage and for the first time I am pleased to say that I met a really genuine car salesman. After discussing various options and vehicles with him, I was very happy to find the vehicle that I really wanted and make a purchase. The attention to detail and finish of the car was just superb. I actually collected the car two days later and the service I received exceeded my expectations. I just love my Mini Clubman. James was a pleasure to deal with, professional and straightforward and friendly throughout the entire process. The car itself was presented in immaculate condition inside and out demonstrating the care and attention James put into preparing it for sale. He renewed the MOT and put some petrol in the car for us, and these thoughtful touches demonstrated his commitment to making sure we were happy with our purchase. The 3‑month warranty included with the sale gives us additional peace of mind should anything unexpected come up. My other half wanted a good mini automatic as a runabout and knowing nothing about them, I knew James has been trading fairly exclusively in them for decades so would be able to explain the ‘sweet spot’ of age versus spec etc. I was right, we came out with options that were nothing like I’d expected (but cheaper payments) and he explained each variant and the positives and negatives. James explained exactly how to manage finance applications (didn’t force us into their own arrangements as most garages do) and then liaised with my partner when he felt she wasn’t getting the best finance deal. None of this was of any material benefit to James, it was a sincere desire to help. The car is super, pretty much as new and she’s very happy. I’ve seen a lot of car deals but this one felt unusually honest and sincere. Highly recommended

Popped into Painswick Valley to check out the cars, we had been looking at the stock in Autotrader & Painswicks website, as longtime Mini owners (Cooper S), we had after keeping our car 12 years to finally replace our little pocket rocket, we were tempted to go for a Clubman, but when we saw a Mediterranean Blue Cooper hatch with steptronic gearbox Terrie was in love, the car had only 16k miles on it and was showroom fresh, we did look at others, and they were also amazing, but it had to be the blue one for us, James (proprietor), left us to it with three cars in our hit list, no pressure, and the deal was done. This weekend we picked up our new pocket rocket, James and Marilyn and Bella greater us, James set up the Road tax while we were there. Have to say we are amazed at the selection available, but not surprised the garage is so busy, this is a quality operation run by professional people, who are enthusiasts.

I had been considering changing my Mini since September & had been keeping an eye on Autotrader for Minis at Painswick. One came up last week that really appealed - I phoned proprietor James up, the car had just come in so I reserved it and went over to see in on Monday. All his cars are in good condition and well presented with plenty of choice. I got the car on Thursday & it lives up to all my expectations. A recommended trader to deal with who is genuine & helpful and has a an outstanding range of Minis to choose from

We went to Painswick because we fancied a mini convertible and thought it was a good place to start. we met James and his mum and nothing was too much trouble we test drove a couple and settled on the one we wanted. On collection day the car was all ready and waiting. since the we have had a couple of small issues that nobody could predict but James was right on it and dealt with it under warranty no quibbles no drama the issues wer dealt with every body happy.james is very knowledgeable and the mechanics he uses are very good I would definitely recommend painswick valley for your next mini.
